Welcome to the Compass House Ning, an extension of the
Compass House main page! We are so happy you have stopped by for a visit. Our site is still very much under construction, but keep reading for some info on who we are and what we hope to offer on this site.
We are a shelter, located in Buffalo, offering hope and help to runaway and homeless youth between the ages of 12 and 17. We offer shelter and services to youth by creating a mutually-agreed upon action plan, in an environment which encourages dignity, respect, and self-reliance.
Through our website, we hope to be able to connect you with resources that will help you move forward positively towards your goals. We hope to raise awareness about our Safe Place program, which helps youth all over Erie County access our services. We offer connection to resources for help with school, college, or a GED degree. We point you towards information on how to find jobs in the Buffalo area, as well as resume-building and interview etiquette. We offer information on vital life skills, like managing personal finances, parenting, and meal-planning. Feel free to look around, we hope that this is a place that offers you direction towards a better life!
